Favourite Montreal wedding shoot locations
Views of the river + beautiful parks = romantic and fun photographs in the west island
I have done my share of weddings in Old Montreal and love the old buildings and cobblestone roads as much as anybody. But I love West Island weddings – including Vaudreuil and Hudson, even more. It’s so easy to get access to the water for gorgeous landscape images. There is almost no chance of running into road closures, traffic snarls, street festivals, or parades!
I have been shooting weddings for many years, so these days I really enjoy casual settings, a simpler schedule (less locations) and the beauty of nature. Everyone is more relaxed when less travel is involved.
I would suggest an engagement shoot in Old Montreal months before your wedding to take advantage of the incredible ambiance there. Not only could we choose the best day for it, weather-wise, but we could aim to be shooting in the gorgeous glow of the evening light.
These are some images shot at the Chateau Vaudreuil, in Beaconsfield, Pointe Claire and Dorval (West Island).
I am willing to shoot for just the core of the day, for 4 to 6 hours, and cover the essential parts of the day (ceremony and portraits) if your photography budget is limited.
I love to shoot smaller weddings, backyard weddings, second marriages, wedding vow renewal celebrations – please get in touch to discuss your wedding plans.
